This afternoon we welcomed the Padre and lots of parents, friends and neighbours to our Harvest Assembly. Families had contributed a generous collection of food for distribution to those in need in our local area.
Every child had a part to play to give thanks for the food we enjoy, the farmer who produces it and the sun and rain for helping the crops to grow.
Reception treated us to a Story Making version of Little Red Hen; their very first performance in Assembly! Then Y3/4 told us The Parable of the Sower. KS1 sang Big Red Combine Harvester, performing all the actions with great gusto. Finally, Y5/6 told us about Food Miles – a lesson in how far across the globe the ingredients for our Pizza may have travelled.
