Sycamore’s Assembly: 2nd October 2012
This morning, Sycamore took us through some of the experiences that children wrote about during the Blitz of World War 2. They wore 1940s-style clothing, and read from diary and letter extracts written by people who actually lived through those terrifying events. Some very poignant memories and images really brought to life what it must have been like. We were finally all exhorted to continue to work together to try and ensure – as the UN Conventions state – that children now and in the future do not have to suffer the consequences of war.
